GES Addresses Circulating Recruitment Letter on Social Media

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a firm warning to the general public over a recruitment letter circulating widely on social media platforms, describing the document as false and unauthorised.

According to the Service, the letter did not originate from GES and should be completely disregarded.

In an official statement dated January 23, 2026, management of the Ghana Education Service explained that it had sighted a letter purportedly issued by the Service, claiming that a new recruitment exercise had commenced. GES stressed that the content of the letter is misleading and does not represent the true position of the Service.

Management made it clear that no recruitment exercise has started. The Service stated unequivocally that it has neither opened nor approved any recruitment process at this time, contrary to claims being circulated in the fake letter.

GES further clarified that any genuine recruitment exercise will only be announced through its recognised and authorised communication channels. These include official press releases, the Service’s official website, and its verified social media platforms. Any information outside these channels should not be trusted.

The Service expressed concern that such false recruitment announcements could mislead the public, especially job seekers, and expose them to fraudulent activities. GES cautioned the public to be vigilant and avoid engaging with individuals or groups who claim to have insider information about recruitment.

GES therefore urged the public to ignore and treat as false any recruitment information that does not come directly from its official platforms. The Service assured the public that when recruitment officially begins, a clear and public announcement will be made through the appropriate channels.

Management reiterated its commitment to transparency and advised the public to always verify information before sharing or acting on it, particularly when it relates to recruitment matters.
