University of Cape Coast Releases Comprehensive Admission Guidelines for 2025 WASSCE Applicants

University of Cape Coast Issues Detailed Admission Update for 2025 WASSCE Applicants.

The Directorate of Academic Affairs of the University of Cape Coast has released a comprehensive notice to all prospective applicants following the official release of the 2025 WASSCE results by the West African Examinations Council.

This update is aimed at guiding both awaiting results candidates and applicants with existing results through the final stages of the 2025 admission process. All applicants are strongly encouraged to read the instructions carefully and act within the stated timelines to prevent avoidable complications.

Application Portal Remains Open

The University has confirmed that its official online application portal, apply.ucc.edu.gh, is still active and will remain open until Friday, 5th December, 2025. This window allows candidates who are awaiting their results, as well as those who already possess results, to log in, update their details, and complete outstanding application requirements. Applicants are advised not to wait until the last day to avoid challenges such as network congestion or incomplete submissions.

Key Actions Required from Applicants

All applicants are required to log into the application portal with their e-voucher credentials (Serial Number and PIN) and carefully review their information to ensure accuracy. Specifically, candidates must confirm:

•Full names

•WASSCE index number(s)

•Choice of programmes

Any mistake in these critical details can affect the admission decision or delay the processing of an application. Applicants who already have November/December WASSCE results but did not include them during their initial application are required to add those results as a second sitting WAEC result on the portal without delay.

Application Types Explained

New applicants must ensure that they select the correct application category during the online process. The University has clearly outlined the following options:

2025 WASSCE Candidates (Awaiting Results Application).

These applicants are not required to verify their results at the time of application. The University will independently confirm all examination results directly from WAEC. Candidates under this category must, however, ensure that their index numbers and personal details are correctly entered.

2024 and Earlier WASSCE Candidates (WASSCE Application)

Applicants using results from 2024 and earlier years are required to verify their results during the application process before final submission. Failure to complete verification may render the application incomplete.

Admission Status Check

Applicants who applied earlier using existing WASSCE results are advised to regularly check their admission status through https://admissionlist.ucc.edu.gh Successful candidates are required to print their official admission letters from the portal for use during the registration process. Applicants who do not receive admission at the first instance are encouraged to continue monitoring the portal for possible subsequent lists.

Important Advisory to Applicants

Applicants are reminded that the admission process is highly competitive and entirely based on the accuracy of information submitted and the availability of programme slots. Candidates must therefore ensure that all entries made on the portal are true, complete, and verifiable. Any discrepancies detected during validation may lead to disqualification.

Official Endorsement

This notice has been formally issued and endorsed by the Director of Academic Affairs, Atta Yeboah-Sarpong, to guide all prospective students through the final phase of the 2025 admission process.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to take immediate action and complete all required updates on the portal before the deadline to avoid missing the opportunity for admission.
