National Service Authority Reopens Registration Portal for Final One-Week Window.
The National Service Authority (NSA) has reopened its registration portal for a final one-week period to enable eligible service personnel to address outstanding registration and validation challenges for the 2025/2026 service year.
The decision follows several appeals from personnel who are yet to complete their validation or have not been posted after their initial placements were rejected.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, December 15, 2025, the Director-General of the National Service Authority, Ruth Dela Seddoh, explained that the reopening is strictly for personnel who submitted reposting requests after being rejected by institutions, as well as those who were unable to complete regional validation due to genuine difficulties. She emphasised that the exercise is not open to new registrations.
The registration portal was reopened on Monday, December 15, 2025, and will officially close on Monday, December 22, 2025. To ensure that personnel are not disadvantaged by the weekend, Saturday, December 20, 2025, has been added as an additional day for access to the system.
Ms. Seddoh noted that this window is the final opportunity for affected personnel to resolve outstanding issues, stressing that after December 22, 2025, the portal will be permanently closed for the 2025/2026 service year. She explained that the closure is necessary to allow the Authority to move into the final phase of preparations for the deployment of nurses, which is expected to begin at the end of December.
The NSA has therefore urged all eligible individuals to take advantage of the extension and complete the process within the stipulated period. The reopening follows the closure of the portal on December 12, 2025, after an earlier extension.
The 2025/2026 National Service Year officially began on November 3, 2025, with thousands of service personnel reporting to institutions across the country. The registration and validation exercise was initially scheduled to end on November 21 but was extended to December 12. Following a further review and persisting challenges, the Authority granted this final one-week extension, noting that no additional extensions will be considered.
