Ministry of Education Confirms Payment of Outstanding Teacher Allowances.

The Ministry of Education has announced the completion of payments for outstanding teacher allowances that were scheduled for November 2025.

This confirmation comes after weeks of anticipation from teachers across the country who had expressed concern about the delayed disbursement.

According to the Ministry, the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has now fully processed and released the two categories of allowances meant for teachers. The delay, the statement noted, was caused by an unexpected technical issue that occurred during the final payroll run for November. The Ministry assured that the challenge has since been resolved, paving the way for the successful completion of payments.

The Ministry further explained that the delay was not intentional but rather the result of a system glitch that temporarily halted the payroll process. Following swift collaboration between the Ministry of Education and the CAGD’s technical teams, the issue was identified and corrected to ensure that teachers received what was rightfully due to them.

In expressing appreciation, the Ministry acknowledged the patience and understanding shown by teachers during the period of delay. “We deeply value the commitment and hard work of our teachers, who continue to dedicate their time and energy to nurturing the next generation of leaders,” the statement emphasized.

Additionally, the Ministry apologized for any inconvenience the delay may have caused and reiterated its unwavering commitment to supporting teachers in every way possible. It further assured that proactive measures are being taken, in partnership with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department and other key stakeholders, to improve payroll systems and prevent the recurrence of similar technical challenges in future payment cycles.

The Ministry reaffirmed that teachers remain at the heart of education delivery, and ensuring their welfare remains a top priority. It also encouraged continued collaboration between all parties involved in the education sector to enhance transparency, efficiency, and reliability in payment processes.
