GES Temporarily Directs Headmaster of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School to Step Aside Over Alleged Student Pregnancy Investigation.
The Ghana Education Service has taken decisive administrative action, instructing Mr. Joshua Vidzro, Headmaster of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School, to temporarily relinquish his duties, effective immediately.
This directive, issued by the Regional Directorate of Education on December 6, 2025, stems from allegations of serious misconduct involving female students at the institution, which necessitates a thorough and impartial investigation.
The decision to temporarily remove Mr. Vidzro from his position is a precautionary measure, aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the investigative process and preventing any potential interference or influence.
This action is purely administrative and should not be construed as a presumption of guilt or innocence. The Ghana Education Service is committed to ensuring that the investigation is conducted in a fair, transparent, and expeditious manner, and that all parties involved are treated with dignity and respect.
In accordance with this directive, Mr. Vidzro is required to immediately transfer all official responsibilities, documents, and school property in his possession to the Municipal Director of Education for Ketu North.
He is further instructed to vacate the school premises by Monday, December 8, 2025, upon completion of the handover process. Additionally, Mr. Vidzro is directed to remain available to the authorities conducting the investigation, and to refrain from any contact, direct or indirect, with the students involved or any individuals who may serve as witnesses.
The Municipal Director of Education for Ketu North has been tasked with assuming oversight of the school's administration, ensuring continuity of educational services and maintaining a stable learning environment for students.
This administrative arrangement will remain in place until further notice, pending the outcome of the investigation. The Ghana Education Service reaffirms its commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability, and to providing a safe and secure learning environment for all students.
