The University of Cape Coast, through its Institute of Education, has opened applications for the 2025/2026 5-Semester Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Sandwich Programme. 

The programme provides diploma holders with an opportunity to upgrade their qualifications through a flexible and well-structured academic schedule.

Programmes Available

Applicants can apply for any of the following B.Ed. programmes:

•B.Ed. Science

•B.Ed. Mathematics

•B.Ed. Arts

•B.Ed. Social Sciences

•B.Ed. Social Studies

•B.Ed. Home Economics

•B.Ed. Management

•B.Ed. Accounting

•B.Ed. Information Technology

Entry Requirements

To be considered for admission, applicants must:

•Hold a Diploma in Education from a recognised institution.

•Have six credits in relevant WASSCE/SSSCE subjects.

Meet the specific subject requirements for their chosen programme.

Science: Credits in any two of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Elective Mathematics.

Mathematics: Diploma (Science & Mathematics option), plus credits in Elective Mathematics and one of Physics, Chemistry, or Economics.

Home Economics: Credits in Food & Nutrition, Clothing & Textiles, and at least one of Biology or Chemistry.

Management/Accounting/IT: Credits in Business Management, Economics, Elective Mathematics, or related business subjects.

Study Centres

Teaching will be conducted at approved centres, including:

•Komfo Anokye SHS, Kumasi

•Ahwiaa Overseas (Nana Appiah)

•Wise Educational Complex, Sunyani

Government Approves 2025 Salary Increase for Public Sector Workers on the Single Spine Salary Structure

2025 Salary Adjustment Announced for Public Service Institutions on the Single Spine Structure The Government of Ghana has approved a 10% across-the-board salary increase for all public sector institutions under the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS).  This follows the successful conclusion of negotiations on the 2025 base pay, as confirmed in a recent communication from the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission.
