Update on 2025 GES Promotion Exams Portal

GES Finalizes Preparations for 2025 Teacher Promotion Examinations

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that preparations for the 2025 Teacher Promotion Examinations, popularly known as the Aptitude Test, are at an advanced stage. This annual exercise is a key component of the Service’s promotion structure, designed to provide deserving teachers with opportunities for career advancement.

According to an update from the GES Headquarters, a comprehensive digital platform is being developed to manage the promotion application process. This new database and website are expected to bring efficiency, transparency, and easy access, ensuring that all qualified teachers can apply without unnecessary delays or bureaucratic challenges.

As part of this transition, Regional and District IT staff have been instructed to submit relevant data to the Headquarters. Once all submissions are received, IT officers from the district, regional, and national levels will embark on a thorough validation exercise. The goal is to test the system’s reliability, resolve technical issues, and guarantee a seamless user experience for applicants.

Following the validation stage, the portal will officially open for teachers who qualify to apply for promotion to the following ranks:

Principal Superintendent (PS)

•Assistant Director II (ADII)

•Assistant Director I (ADI)

•Deputy Director (DD)

GES has emphasized its commitment to ensuring a smooth rollout of the system this year. The Service has assured teachers that every measure is being taken to prevent disruptions, while also urging applicants to remain patient and optimistic as the final touches are applied.

With these developments, the 2025 Teacher Promotion Examinations are expected to take place as scheduled, giving qualified teachers the opportunity to progress in their professional careers and contribute more effectively to the country’s educational development.
