GNAT Announces Recruitment for Key Roles at Headquarters.
The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has opened applications for qualified professionals to occupy important positions at its headquarters in Accra. The vacancies, announced in the Daily Graphic on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, reflect GNAT’s effort to strengthen its operations by bringing on board skilled individuals with leadership experience and technical expertise.
Available Positions
1. Head of Public Affairs
- Reports to: General Secretary
- Qualification: Master’s degree in Communications, Public Policy, Public Relations, Journalism, International Relations, or related field. Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in public affairs or communications.
- Age Requirement: Not above 55 years.
- Key Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, ability to handle high-stakes communication, and proficiency in media relations.
- Responsibilities:
- Lead GNAT’s Strategic Communication Plan.
- Oversee media relations, newsletters, and publications.
- Supervise communication officers.
- Prepare reports for management.
2. Assistant Head, Assets, Estate and Procurement
- Reports to: Head of Finance & Investment
- Qualification: Master’s degree in Architecture, Estate Management, Building Technology, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management, with at least 10 years’ experience, including 5 years at senior management level.
- Location: GNAT Headquarters, Adabraka, Accra.
- Key Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical abilities, and knowledge in facilities management.
- Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies on assets and procurement.
- Supervise estate maintenance and facilities management.
- Ensure compliance with GNAT policies and statutory requirements.
3. Senior Internal Audit Assistant
- Reports to: Head of Internal Audit
- Qualification: Professional certification (ICA, ACCA, or CIMA) with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Age Requirement: Not above 35 years, or 25 years with a Master’s degree.
- Responsibilities:
- Support internal audit functions.
- Conduct risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Provide timely audit reports.
