The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has released the official salary payment schedule for the year 2025, confirming when public sector workers can expect their earnings. For September, salaries will be credited on Thursday, 25th September 2025. 

This applies to civil servants, staff of the Ghana Education Service (GES), and all other government employees on the central payroll system.

The announcement provides assurance for workers who depend on timely payments to manage rent, bills, loans, and other financial obligations. Timely salary disbursement also helps sustain household income, boosts consumer confidence, and supports local businesses in communities where government workers make up a large part of the workforce.

Employees are encouraged to plan ahead, mark the date, and check with their banks on or after the 25th since processing times may vary across institutions. While some banks credit accounts early, others may complete the process later in the day. In the event of any changes, the CAGD has assured that updates will be communicated promptly through official channels.
