BREAKING: Takoradi Technical Institute Student Sentenced for Stabbing Teacher.

A shocking incident has rocked the Takoradi Technical Institute (TTI) community, as a second-year student, Emmanuel Sam, has been sentenced to six months in prison for stabbing a teacher on campus. 

The disturbing event took place on September 23, 2025, when Sam was caught entering the school through an unauthorized route and attempted to evade disciplinary action by attacking the teacher with scissors.

The Takoradi District Court delivered its ruling on September 26, 2025, ordering Sam to pay GH₵3,000 in compensation to the injured teacher. Failure to make the payment will result in an additional three months in prison, bringing the total sentence to nine months. Furthermore, Sam was fined GH₵2,400, emphasizing the severity of the court's judgment.

The court's decision sends a strong message that violent behavior will not be tolerated in schools. The judiciary's stance is clear: students who engage in such behavior will face the full weight of the law. This ruling serves as a deterrent to other students who might consider resorting to violence, highlighting the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.
