Ghana Teacher Prize 2025 to Be Officially Launched on 20 August.

The Ghana Teacher Prize (GTP) 2025 will be officially launched at GNAT Hall on Wednesday, 20th August 2025, marking the beginning of the country’s annual celebration of outstanding teachers.

This prestigious initiative recognises teachers who demonstrate exceptional dedication, innovation, and impact in shaping students’ academic and personal growth.

Organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the National Teaching Council (NTC), the Ghana Teacher Prize aims to elevate the status of teachers while showcasing their vital role in advancing quality education. This year’s theme, “Elevating the Status of Teachers for Quality Education,” reflects a renewed commitment to professional development, recognition, and improved welfare for educators across the nation.

The launch will bring together policymakers, education stakeholders, teachers, and the public to celebrate the contributions of educators at all levels. Winners are chosen based on innovative teaching practices, dedication to students’ success, and positive contributions to their communities.

The Ghana Teacher Prize also supports Ghana’s broader efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4, which focuses on inclusive and quality education for all. By honouring exceptional teachers, the initiative reinforces the importance of investing in educators to nurture the next generation of leaders and innovators.

Through the Ghana Teacher Prize, the nation continues to highlight the invaluable role of teachers in shaping the future of Ghana, inspiring excellence, and promoting a culture of lifelong learning.
