GES Addresses Issues Raised Over 2025 Teacher Promotion Registration.

GES Responds to Concerns on 2025 Teacher Promotion Registration.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has moved to address growing concerns from teachers regarding the 2025 promotion registration exercise.

In recent days, issues of eligibility and challenges with the online application portal have been widely raised by applicants, prompting calls for clear communication from Management. In response, the Service has issued an official statement to clarify matters and reassure teachers of its commitment to fairness and transparency.

Dated 21st August 2025, the statement outlined two major points of concern. First, GES confirmed that all teachers who last received promotion or appointment in 2021 or earlier are eligible to participate in the ongoing exercise. Management emphasized that no teacher who qualifies will be excluded.

Second, the Service acknowledged the technical difficulties with the online promotion portal, which have made it difficult for some applicants to complete their submissions. According to GES, the system is undergoing technical upgrades to improve access, and teachers experiencing difficulties are urged to remain calm as the challenges are being resolved.

The statement, signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at GES, reassured teachers that Management takes full responsibility for the setbacks and is working to resolve them swiftly. It concluded by reaffirming GES’s commitment to a transparent, credible, and equitable promotion process that guarantees every eligible teacher the opportunity to advance in their career.
