Colleges of Education Admission 2025/2026: Requirements, Deadline, and How to Apply.

The admission window for the 2025/2026 academic year into the Colleges of Education is now open. Prospective applicants interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) are encouraged to take note of the requirements, available programmes, and application process before the deadline.

Programmes Available

The Colleges of Education across the country are offering the 4-Year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in the following areas:

  • Early Grade Education
  • Primary Education
  • Junior High School Education (with subject specializations such as Science, Mathematics, ICT, and Languages).

Additionally, selected colleges offer TVET and French programmes to widen career opportunities.

Admission Requirements

WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants

  • Credits (A1–C6 for WASSCE or A–D for SSSCE) in three core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science/Social Studies.
  • Credits in three elective subjects relevant to the chosen programme.

GCE/ABCE/TVET Applicants

  • Specific subject and grade requirements apply. Applicants should confirm details on the official portal.

Special Needs Applicants

  • Modified entry requirements are available for visually and hearing-impaired applicants. Admission is limited to selected colleges.

How to Apply

  1. Payment: Pay a non-refundable application fee of GHS 350 through:

    • CBG Bank, or
    • Mobile Money (9248#).
  2. Access the Portal: Use the PIN and Serial Number received after payment to log in to the official portal: admission.coeportal.edu.gh

  3. Complete the Form:

    • Fill in all required details.
    • Upload a recent passport-size photograph (JPG/JPEG format, max 40KB).
  4. Preview & Submit:

    • Review your application before final submission.
    • Save and continue later if needed.
    • Submit and print your Confirmation Page.
  5. Submit Hard Copies:

    • Print two (2) copies of the Confirmation Page.
    • Attach results slip(s) and supporting documents.
    • Send via Ghana Post EMS to your first-choice College of Education.
  6. Label Envelope: Clearly write your Application Reference/Form Number on the envelope.

⚠️ Failure to send the hard copy means your application will not be processed.

Deadline

The application closes on 31st August 2025.
