CAGD Announces Mop-Up of Nationwide Payroll Audit in August 2025

The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has officially announced a mop-up exercise for the nationwide payroll audit, targeting staff who could not participate in the initial audit held in June 2025.

According to the circular, the mop-up will take place from Thursday, 21st August to Friday, 22nd August 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily. The venue for the exercise is the National Accounts Directorate Conference Room, Block A (Treasury Headquarters).

Required Documents

All staff on the Government of Ghana (GoG) and Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) payrolls are expected to bring the following documents for verification:

For GRA Payroll Staff

  1. GRA Staff ID
  2. GoG Staff ID
  3. National Identification Card (Ghana Card)

For GoG Payroll Staff

  1. Staff ID
  2. National Identification Card (Ghana Card)

Purpose of the Exercise

The payroll audit is part of efforts to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance in the management of public funds. Staff who missed the June 2025 audit are required to take advantage of this mop-up session to regularize their records.

The Department encourages all affected staff to make themselves available for this important national exercise.
