WAEC Opens Online School Selection Portal for 2025 BECE Candidates.

The Ghana Education Service (GES), in collaboration with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), has officially announced the opening of the online school selection portal for 2025 BECE candidates. 

This important exercise is aimed at facilitating the capture and submission of candidates' school choices across the country.

According to a circular issued by the GES Headquarters on July 24, 2025, the online portal will be open from Thursday, 24th July to Friday, 8th August 2025. During this period, private BECE candidates are expected to access the portal via www.waecinternetsolution.org. To log in, candidates must use their Index Numbers and Dates of Birth as their username and password, respectively.

GES is urging all Metro, Municipal, and District Directors of Education to ensure that Examination Coordinators within their areas supervise and monitor the school selection process diligently. This is to guarantee that Heads of Junior High Schools carry out timely and accurate data entry for each candidate.

Additionally, Regional Directors have been asked to disseminate this directive to all schools through their respective district offices. Their cooperation is essential to ensure the smooth and successful execution of the school selection exercise within the stipulated timeframe.

This initiative reinforces GES’s commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the school placement process for BECE candidates across the nation.
