GES Releases Funds for 2025 WASSCE Practical Examinations.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the release of funds for the payment of practical examination fees for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). 

This financial support covers all Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) nationwide.

According to a press release dated July 26, 2025, the initiative is aimed at ensuring that all practical examinations scheduled for this year’s WASSCE are adequately resourced. The disbursed funds are intended to cover the cost of essential materials and resources needed for the smooth conduct of the practical components of the exams.

The GES emphasizes that this intervention is not only to guarantee the smooth running of the examination process but also to alleviate the financial burden on parents and guardians. By taking care of these critical expenses, students are expected to concentrate fully on their academic preparation without additional stress.

Furthermore, GES is calling on all regional, district, and school authorities to apply the funds strictly for their designated purposes. Authorities have been strongly urged to ensure accountability and transparency in the utilization of the funds. The Service also assures the public that it will continue to monitor the use of these funds to uphold high standards in the conduct of examinations.
