ECG to Undertake Planned Maintenance; Power Outages Expected in Greater Accra and Western Regions on July 13

Planned ECG Maintenance: Parts of Greater Accra and Western Regions to Experience Power Outages on Sunday, July 13.

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that selected areas within the Greater Accra Region, including Tema, and the Western Region will experience temporary power outages on Sunday, July 13, 2025, due to planned maintenance works.

According to ECG, the maintenance is part of ongoing efforts to upgrade power infrastructure and enhance service reliability across its operational zones. The public has been advised to take necessary precautions and stay informed through ECG’s official communication channels.

Affected Areas and Maintenance Schedule

1. Tema and Environs (Greater Accra Region)

Power will be interrupted from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the following areas:

  • Mobole
  • Ataa Mensah
  • Boishe
  • Afienya
  • Philip Kope
  • Greenhouse Enclave
  • Surrounding communities

These communities fall within the broader Tema area under the Tema Metropolitan and Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assemblies.

2.Other Areas in Greater Accra Region

From 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., several residential, commercial, and industrial zones will experience power cuts, including:

  • Rebecca Fashion Manufacturing Ltd

  • 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.:

    • Daboase
    • Sekyere Krobo
    • Sekyere Nsuta
    • Aboaboso
    • Bosomase
    • Nearby communities
