The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ghana’s premier health-focused university, has officially opened its admission portal for the 2025/2026 academic year. 

Interested applicants, both local and international, are encouraged to apply early via the university’s official online platform.

About the University

UHAS, located in Ho in the Volta Region, is the first public university in Ghana solely dedicated to health and allied sciences. The institution is known for its academic excellence, strong emphasis on hands-on clinical training, and commitment to community-based healthcare. Programmes Available

Admissions are currently open for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across the university’s seven schools:

•School of Medicine

•School of Pharmacy

•School of Nursing and Midwifery

•School of Allied Health Sciences

•School of Public Health

•School of Biomedical Sciences

•School of Sports and Exercise Medicine

Each programme has been carefully designed to address the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals

Entry Requirements

•Applicants must meet the specific entry criteria for their chosen programme. These generally include:

•Credit passes in Core English, Mathematics, Integrated Science, and three relevant elective subjects (for WASSCE/SSSCE holders).

•Mature applicants must provide academic transcripts, certificates, and proof of relevant work experience.

•Postgraduate applicants are expected to submit certified academic records and two completed referee forms.

•All application forms must be completed and submitted online. No hard copies will be accepted.

How to Apply

To begin the application process, candidates must first purchase an e-voucher using any of the following options:

•Visit any branch of GCB Bank, ADB, Zenith Bank, or Ghana Post.

•Use Mobile Money or a VISA/MasterCard to purchase via the UHAS admissions portal.

•Dial *920224*1# on any mobile network to access the platform.

After purchase, applicants will receive a Serial Number and PIN via SMS. The cost of an undergraduate application form is GH₵220.00.

Financial Support

UHAS offers a Financial Support Scheme to assist brilliant but financially challenged students. The support covers tuition and in some cases, accommodation. Interested applicants who gain admission are encouraged to apply for the scheme as early as possible.
