UCC Opens Portal for 3-Semester B.Ed Sandwich Admission for 2025/2026 Academic Year (Cohort 9)

The University of Cape Coast (UCC), through its Institute of Education and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), is inviting applications for admission into the 3-Semester Bachelor of Education (Post-Diploma) Sandwich Programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year.

This initiative is designed to help holders of the Diploma in Basic Education (DBE) upgrade to bachelor’s degree level without disrupting their current teaching responsibilities. The ninth cohort (Cohort 9) officially begins academic work on 27th July, 2025.

Programmes on Offer

Applicants may apply for any of the following Bachelor of Education programmes:

•B.Ed (Post-Diploma) Early Childhood Education

•B.Ed (Post-Diploma) Primary Education

•B.Ed (Post-Diploma) Junior High School (JHS) Education

These programmes are structured to strengthen content knowledge, improve pedagogical skills, and align with Ghana’s standards for teacher professional development.

Application Deadline

The deadline for application is 11th July, 2025.

Eligible candidates who are successfully admitted will be automatically enrolled in their chosen programme.

•There is no fee required before completing the application form online.

•Applicants must hold a valid Diploma in Basic Education or a DBE Certificate.

•Online learning will support the traditional face-to-face mode. Candidates should have access to a smartphone, tablet, or other internet-enabled device.

Applicants are required to indicate both their programme of choice and the corresponding study centre, based on elective subjects.
