UCC Announces 2025 Scholarship Applications for Regular Students with Financial Need

The University of Cape Coast (UCC), through its Students’ Financial Support Office, has opened applications for the 2025 scholarship programme aimed at supporting brilliant but financially challenged regular students. 

The application window runs from June 9 to July 7, 2025, and targets students who demonstrate both academic potential and financial need.

Eligibility Criteria

•To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must:

•Be Ghanaian by birth

•Be a regular student enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate programme at UCC

•Provide valid proof of financial hardship

•Show evidence of strong academic performance or potential

•Not currently benefit from any other scholarship or bursary

•Be willing to engage in mentorship, community service, or leadership activities if selected

Application Process: Activating Your MYUCC Account

Before applying, applicants must first activate their MYUCC account by following these steps:

1. Visit the UCC student portal at portal.ucc.edu.gh

2. Go to the “Student Resources” section and click on MYUCC

3. Activate your account using your student ID and password

4. Log in and head to the “Financial Support” section

5. Fill in the scholarship form with accurate details and upload all required documents (proof of need and academic records)

6. Submit your application through the portal before the July 7 deadline

2025 Salary Adjustment Announced for Public Service Institutions on the Single Spine Structure The Government of Ghana has approved a 10% across-the-board salary increase for all public sector institutions under the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS).  This follows the successful conclusion of negotiations on the 2025 base pay, as confirmed in a recent communication from the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission.
