Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up Your NTC Teacher Portal Account and Tracking CPD Points.

How to Create Your NTC Teacher Portal Account, Upload Documents, and Check CPD Points.

Creating an account on the National Teaching Council (NTC) Teacher Portal is a key requirement for every teacher in Ghana. It confirms your professional identity and enables you to track your Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points.

This step-by-step guide will help you register successfully, upload the right documents, activate your account, and check your accumulated CPD points.

Step 1: Visit the NTC Teacher Portal

•Start by going to the official NTC Teacher Portal at https:Here

•Click on the Home icon at the top-left of the page.

•When a pop-up appears, simply select Close.

•Next, click on Register Now to begin the sign-up process.

Step 2: Create Your Account

•After selecting “Register Now,” choose Teacher Sign Up.

•Fill in your details carefully:

•Full name

•Email address

•Mobile number

•A secure password

Once completed, click on Send Registration Link. You’ll receive a confirmation email from NTC.

Step 3: Activate Your Account.

•Open your email and click the activation link sent to you by NTC.

•After activation, return to the portal and log in by selecting Teacher Login.

•Fill out your profile with accurate personal and professional details.

•Under “Category of Teacher,” choose Public (if applicable to you).

Important: If you face issues verifying your Staff ID or SSNIT number, reach out to NTC via WhatsApp on +233 552 828 853. Be sure to send a screenshot of the error, a copy of your recent payslip, your SSNIT number, and your appointment letter.

Step 4: Complete the Registration

•When your profile is fully completed, a green checkmark will appear on the bottom-left corner of your dashboard. This means you're done.

•Usually, your license number will be sent via SMS within 24 hours, although in some cases it arrives immediately.

Uploading Required Documents

To complete your registration and qualify for full access to the portal, you’ll need to upload specific documents. Prepare the following in PDF format (except the passport photo):

1. Your professional qualification certificate (e.g., College Certificate)

2. NTC License Certificate

3. First Appointment Letter (signed by the Director-General)

4. WASSCE Certificate (optional)

5. Passport-size photo (in image format)

Note: Avoid uploading blurry or incorrect file types. The system may reject improperly formatted documents.

How to Check Your CPD Points

•Once your portal is active:

•Log in to your teacher dashboard.

•Your accumulated CPD points will be displayed.

Do note that due to the integration of the Professional Learning Community (PLC) points into the CPD system, some delays may occur in updating your points. You’re advised to wait until after May 10, 2024, for any recent CPD activities to reflect.

Conclusion

The Teacher Portal Ghana is more than just a registration platform, it's your professional gateway. By completing your registration and uploading your documents correctly, you ensure your teaching records are up to date and that you're on track with licensing requirements. Don't delay, create your account and monitor your CPD progress today.
