National Teaching Council Launches 2025 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination Registration for Fresh Candidates and Resitters

Registration Process for Fresh Candidates and Resitters – GTLE 2025

The National Teaching Council (NTC) has outlined the registration process for the 2025 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE). 

Candidates fall into two main categories: Fresh Candidates and Resitters. Each category follows a specific registration process. Below is a clear breakdown to guide all applicants through the correct steps.

For Resitters

Candidates who are rewriting one or more GTLE papers can register using the following procedure:

Registration via Mobile Money (Momo) – Currently Unavailable

1. Dial *772*51# on your phone.

2. Select the appropriate resit option based on the number of papers you intend to write.

3. You will receive an SMS from Prudential Bank containing your serial number and PIN.

4. Visit the NTC Exams Portal at https://exams.ntc.gov.gh/ to complete your registration.

For Fresh Candidates

Before starting the registration process, fresh candidates must confirm that their details exist in the NTC indexing database. Do not proceed with registration if your information is not available in the system.

Step 1: Confirm Your Indexing Status

1. Visit https://indexing.ntc.gov.gh/

2. Click on “Confirmation Status.”

3. Enter your college index number to verify.

4. If successful, your indexing number (typically made up of your initials and numbers) will be displayed.

Step 2: Proceed with Payment (When Momo Becomes Available)

1. Dial *772*51# again.

2. Select Indexing and authorize the transaction using your Mobile Money PIN

3. You will receive your serial number and PIN via SMS from Prudential Bank.

4. Dial the code again and select Fresh Candidate to proceed with GTLE payment.

5. After payment, visit https://exams.ntc.gov.gh/ to complete your registration.

REGISTRATION FEES FOR 2025 NTC

Resit Candidates:

  1. Candidates resitting one paper will be charged GHC 150.

2. Those resitting two papers will pay GHC 210.

3. Candidates retaking all three papers will pay GHC 385. 

Registration Fees for fresh candidates.

New candidates (freshers) are required to pay a registration fee of GHC 450.00 for the exams. An additional indexing fee of GHC 50.00 is also applicable.

Please note that the Mobile Money payment option is currently undergoing maintenance and is temporarily unavailable. Candidates are advised to remain patient or consider purchasing the registration voucher directly from Prudential Bank until the service is restored.
