University of Ghana Introduces Digital WES Request and Payment Through STS Portal.

University of Ghana Rolls Out Online WES Request and Payment System via STS Portal.

The University of Ghana's Academic Affairs Directorate has launched a new digital service that allows students, staff, and alumni to request and pay for World Education Services (WES) evaluations through the STS portal.

The initiative, introduced on May 19, 2025, is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance its digital systems and make services more accessible and efficient.

Previously, those requesting WES evaluations had to visit the Registry and Cash Office in person. With this upgrade, users can now complete the entire process online. By logging into the STS portal and selecting “WES Request,” applicants can fill out the necessary form and pay via Mobile Money or Visa. Real-time updates are available to help users track the status of their request.

The university highlights the key benefits of this development:

•The process is convenient and secure.

•Users receive transparent status updates.

•It saves time and eliminates paperwork.

The Academic Affairs Directorate describes this improvement as part of a broader digital transformation aimed at delivering effective, efficient, and student-centered services. All stakeholders are encouraged to take advantage of the system as the university looks ahead to further technological advancements.

For quick assistance, users can access the university’s WhatsApp support channel.

The notice was signed by Eric Yaw Alade, Head of the Students Services and Records Unit, on behalf of the Director of Academic Affairs.
