Teacher Trainees’ 2025 Pedagogy Challenge Grand Finale Set for Hohoe as Northern Sector Contest is Cancelled
In an official statement, the Association disclosed that the sector-level contest for Colleges of Education in the Northern Sector (ATTRICON) has unfortunately been cancelled. This decision comes as a result of concerns raised by the sector's leadership.
While this news may be disappointing to teacher trainees in the affected sector, TTAG assures all stakeholders that the competition’s grand finale remains firmly on schedule. The final event is set to take place at St. Francis College of Education in Hohoe on Saturday, 17th May 2025, beginning at 2:00 p.m. sharp.
This year’s finale promises to be a highly competitive event featuring the sector champions from four regions. The qualified finalists are:
•Akatsi College of Education – representing the VOLTA Sector
•St. Joseph College of Education – representing the ASHBA Sector
•Wiawso College of Education – representing the WEC Sector
•Methodist College of Education – representing the EGA Sector
Each of these institutions earned their place in the finals by excelling at their respective sector-level contests. The grand finale will not only determine the national champion but also showcase the rich talent and pedagogical knowledge within Ghana’s Colleges of Education.
TTAG reaffirmed its dedication to strengthening teacher education and noted that the Pedagogy Challenge remains an important initiative to promote academic excellence and prepare future educators for national development.
The Association extends its best wishes to all four competing colleges as they aim for the national title and recognition.
