GES Reactivates 2024 Recruitment Portal, Starts Issuing Appointment Letters to 11,665 Selected Applicants

GES Restores 2024 Recruitment Portal and Begins Issuing Appointment Letters to 11,665 Qualified Applicants

The Ghana Education Service (GES) is pleased to announce that its recruitment portal for the 2024 degree recruitment exercise has been fully restored after experiencing technical issues.

The portal, which initially opened on September 3, 2024, received an overwhelming response of 38,748 applications from enthusiastic individuals seeking teaching positions across the country.

Following a rigorous review process, the GES has shortlisted 11,665 applicants who meet the minimum requirements outlined in the job advertisement. These successful candidates will be recruited to fill critical teaching vacancies in phases, ensuring a strategic and efficient onboarding process.

Applicants who have been shortlisted will receive notifications in batches via text message, directing them to print their appointment letters from the recruitment platform. The phased appointment approach will enable the GES to manage the recruitment process effectively while ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed.

For applicants with questions or concerns, the GES management team is readily available to provide clarification via the official email address: hrsecretariat@ges.gov.gh. This development brings relief to many applicants who were left in uncertainty during the portal's downtime and signals the continuation of efforts to strengthen staffing in key teaching areas.

The GES remains committed to attracting and retaining top talent in the education sector, and this recruitment exercise is a significant step towards achieving that goal. With the restoration of the portal and the shortlisting of successful candidates, the GES is poised to make a positive impact on the education landscape in Ghana.
