AAMUSTED Introduces Scholarship to Support Female Graduate Non-Professional Teachers Pursuing Postgraduate Education.

In a progressive move to empower women in the teaching profession, the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) has launched a scholarship scheme targeted at female graduate non-professional teachers. 

This initiative is designed to help women who hold a first degree but have not yet received professional teacher training, by offering them the opportunity to pursue a postgraduate education program.

The scholarship, fully sponsored by T-TEL, goes beyond financial assistance. It also provides mentorship and professional development opportunities, giving recipients the tools they need to become confident, qualified, and competent professionals in the classroom. By prioritizing female educators, AMUSTED is addressing both the gender gap in professional teacher development and the urgent need for skilled teachers in the education sector.

This program is a clear demonstration of AMUSTED’s commitment to creating pathways for capable women to grow in their careers, improve their teaching impact, and contribute meaningfully to national development through education.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

•Must be a female graduate non-professional teacher

•Possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized tertiary institution

•Be currently teaching in a recognized educational institution

•Show commitment to continue teaching after completing the postgraduate program
