UCC Opens 2025 Admission for MPhil Top-Up Sandwich Programmes.

The University of Cape Coast (UCC), through its Department of Business and Social Sciences Education, has opened applications for the 2025 MPhil Top-Up Sandwich programmes. 

This admission window is designed for education professionals who have already completed a Master of Education (M.Ed) and wish to progress to the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) level within their field of study.

Available MPhil Programmes

Qualified applicants may apply to pursue any of the following MPhil programmes:

•MPhil in Economics Education

•MPhil in Accounting Education

•MPhil in Management Education

•MPhil in Social Studies Education

These programmes are structured to provide advanced academic training, equip candidates for leadership roles in education, and serve as a foundation for those who may wish to pursue doctoral studies in the future.

Mode of Delivery

The MPhil Top-Up programmes will be delivered through a blend of online and face-to-face sessions, allowing for flexibility in learning while maintaining academic rigor. This approach is particularly suitable for professionals actively engaged in full-time work.

Who Can Apply?

This admission is strictly open to applicants who hold an M.Ed in a related discipline. The top-up programme provides an excellent opportunity for M.Ed holders to attain an MPhil qualification without having to start a new programme from the beginning.

Government Approves 2025 Salary Increase for Public Sector Workers on the Single Spine Salary Structure

2025 Salary Adjustment Announced for Public Service Institutions on the Single Spine Structure The Government of Ghana has approved a 10% across-the-board salary increase for all public sector institutions under the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS).  This follows the successful conclusion of negotiations on the 2025 base pay, as confirmed in a recent communication from the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission.
