The Ministry of Health has taken a significant step towards making health education more accessible and affordable for prospective students in Ghana. 

In a recent announcement, the ministry revealed a reduction in the cost of application forms for health training institutions across the country. This initiative is part of the ministry's broader effort to increase access to health education, particularly for applicants from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.

The application period for the 2025/2026 academic year is set to begin on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, and conclude on Thursday, June 19, 2025. 

During this period, prospective students can purchase application forms from authorized banks, specifically GCB Bank PLC and the Agricultural Development Bank. The ministry has emphasized the importance of purchasing forms from these designated banks to avoid fraud.

A key highlight of the announcement is the reduction in application fees. The cost of the application form has been reduced from GHS 200.00 to GHS 150.00, making it more affordable for applicants. 

This reduction will likely alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with applying to health training institutions, enabling more students to pursue their dreams of a career in healthcare.
