Central Gonja District Education Directorate Invites Applications for Leadership Roles

GES Seeks Applicants for Key Roles in Central Gonja Education Office.



The Ghana Education Service (GES) Directorate in the Central Gonja District has announced an exciting opportunity for aspiring education leaders. 

The district is currently inviting applications for three key leadership roles within the education sector, as part of a broader effort to strengthen its education administration. 

This recruitment drive aims to attract highly qualified and passionate professionals who share a commitment to excellence in education. 

By bringing in fresh talent and expertise, the district hopes to enhance the quality of education and provide students with the support and resources they need to succeed. 

The available positions offer a unique chance for dedicated individuals to make a positive impact on the district's education system and contribute to the development of future generations.

Vacant Positions

Applications are invited for the following schedule officer positions:

•Second Cycle/Agriculture

•Basic Schools Coordinator

•Guidance and Counselling

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

•Be a professional teacher

•Attain the rank of Assistant Director I

•Possess a credible service record in the GES

•Show commitment and dedication to duty

•Be eligible to serve at least three more years before compulsory retirement

For the Guidance and Counselling role, candidates must additionally hold a first or master’s degree in a relevant field. Basic computing knowledge is also considered an asset for all positions.

Required Application Documents

•Each applicant must submit four (4) copies of the following:

•A personal application letter

•A completed and signed personal record form

•Their latest promotion letter

•Certified copies of the highest academic and professional certificates

Submission Details

Completed applications should be delivered to the Central Gonja District Education Directorate in Buipe no later than 18th April 2025. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.

This initiative reflects the Directorate’s commitment to strengthening leadership and ensuring effective management in schools across the district.

2025 Salary Adjustment Announced for Public Service Institutions on the Single Spine Structure The Government of Ghana has approved a 10% across-the-board salary increase for all public sector institutions under the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS).  This follows the successful conclusion of negotiations on the 2025 base pay, as confirmed in a recent communication from the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission.
