Approval Given for Geography Teachers to Participate in 2025 GGA Annual Conference

Geography Teachers Granted Permission to Attend 2025 GGA Annual Conference

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has given the green light for all Geography teachers in Senior High Schools across the country to attend the 2025 Geographers' Association (GGA) Annual Conference.

This follows a formal request from the University of Ghana, received by GES on 10th April 2025.

According to the GES, participation in this year’s conference is crucial for the professional growth of Geography teachers. The event promises opportunities for educators to network with peers, exchange ideas, and stay updated on the latest advancements in geography education.

The Service emphasizes that the knowledge and skills teachers acquire during the conference will not only boost their individual capabilities but will also positively impact their schools and students. By attending, teachers are expected to return better equipped to deliver enriched geography lessons.

Regional Directors have been tasked to inform all Municipal, Metropolitan, and District Directors about this approval. These Directors are expected to communicate the directive to all Senior High Schools to ensure that the necessary arrangements are made.

Management of GES expressed confidence in the continued support of all regional and district offices to ensure the successful participation of teachers in the upcoming conference.

Stay tuned for more updates as preparations towards the 2025 GGA Annual Conference unfold!
