UEW SRC Introduces Financial Support for Needy Students.
The Students' Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has launched a financial aid initiative to support students facing economic difficulties.
Recognizing the financial struggles that some students encounter in paying their fees, the SRC remains committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder academic progress. As part of this initiative, students who have paid less than 50% of their fees are encouraged to apply for assistance.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this financial support, applicants must:
•Be a registered student of UEW.
•Have paid less than 50% of their fees.
•Demonstrate financial need.
Application Guidelines
Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
•A photocopy of their admission letter.
•A formal letter addressed to the SRC Welfare Committee, which must include:
•Full Name
•Index Number
•Telephone Number
•Level
•Department
Applications must be submitted at the SRC Secretariat between March 18th and March 21st, 2025.
After the submission period, shortlisted students will be invited for an interview with the SRC Welfare Committee, which will take place one week after the deadline. During the interview, applicants must present their Student ID Card for verification.
The SRC assures all applicants that the selection process will be conducted with confidentiality and fairness. This initiative reflects the council’s dedication to student welfare, ensuring that financial challenges do not prevent students from achieving academic success. Students are encouraged to apply within the given timeframe.
