TTAG President Updates Trainees on Macro-Teaching End Date -Check Here.
The National President of the Teacher Trainees' Association of Ghana (TTAG), H.E. Solae Razak, has shared a significant update regarding the macro-teaching completion date for final-year teacher trainees.
According to President Razak, TTAG’s leadership engaged in extensive discussions with the Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) to advocate for an earlier end date for the macro-teaching exercise.
As a result, the deadline has been revised to March 21, 2025, instead of the original April 17, 2025.
"I assured final-year students that we have had thorough engagements with PRINCOF to reduce their macro-teaching end date to March 21, 2025," Razak stated.
He further addressed ongoing efforts to resolve challenges some trained teachers are experiencing in accessing their National Service Authority (NSA) pin codes for registration. Razak emphasized that TTAG is working closely with key institutions to address these concerns.
"We are engaging with the Ministry, the National Service Authority, PRINCOF, and other relevant stakeholders to resolve the issues trainees are facing in accessing their NSA pin codes," he noted.
President Razak also reflected on his participation in the Volta Sector's Eduquest competition, held on February 28, 2025, which brought together all seven member colleges of education in the sector.
He commended the sector’s leadership for organizing the event, highlighting its alignment with TTAG’s mission to foster academic and professional development.
"As President, I commended my Sector President and his council for organizing the Eduquest competition, which fulfills one of our constitutional responsibilities to our members," he remarked.
He stressed the importance of unity and cooperation among students, encouraging collective action to address the various challenges they encounter.
"It is essential that we work together to build a strong and unified student front capable of addressing the challenges we face," he concluded.
Following the completion of the macro-teaching exercise, final-year teacher trainees will return to their respective campuses from June 16 to September 5, 2025, to complete their academic programs.
During this period, they will attend lectures in preparation for their end-of-semester examinations, which are scheduled from September 8 to September 19, 2025. The academic year will officially conclude on September 20, 2025.
It is expected that PRINCOF will grant TTAG’s request, providing relief to the final-year trainees.
