State Institutions Students/ Ghanaians Can visit for Free on 7th March.

Ghana marks its Independence Day on March 6, and as part of the celebrations, students and the general public can visit selected state institutions for free on March 7. This initiative provides an educational experience, offering insights into how these institutions operate.


Some key institutions open for visits include.

Parliament House (Accra): Gain knowledge about Ghana’s legislative system, its democratic processes, and the nation's political history.

Jubilee House (Presidential Palace, Accra): Explore the official residence of the President and learn about the executive branch of government.

Naval Base (Sekondi-Takoradi or Tema): Discover how the Ghana Navy protects the country's coastal waters and ensures maritime security.

Kotoka International Airport (Accra): Tour the airport to understand aviation operations, including air traffic management and safety protocols.

2025 Salary Adjustment Announced for Public Service Institutions on the Single Spine Structure The Government of Ghana has approved a 10% across-the-board salary increase for all public sector institutions under the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS).  This follows the successful conclusion of negotiations on the 2025 base pay, as confirmed in a recent communication from the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission. According to an official directive issued by the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department, the new salary structure, captured in Appendix A of the circular, takes effect from January 1, 2025.  The adjustment aligns with the government's commitment to ensuring fair and sustainable remuneration for public service workers.
