President Mahama Appoints New District Chief Executives in Eight Regions

President Mahama Nominates New District Chief Executives For 8 Regions.

A newly compiled list of individuals has been selected to oversee administrative responsibilities in metropolitan, municipal, and district jurisdictions. 

The ministry in charge of local government has officially made these names public.

A statement released on March 26, 2025, confirms that the country’s leadership, in line with legal mandates, has put forward nominees for district executive positions. 

Their appointments, however, will only be finalized after review and approval by designated regional authorities.

According to the official release, these nominations are part of the structured process for appointing leaders at the district level. 

The referenced document, labeled OPS 325/25/1246, was issued by the executive office and signed by Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim (MP), the sector minister.

The nominees will undergo confirmation procedures conducted by regional assemblies in the coming days. Further updates will be provided as developments unfold.
