Ministry of Interior Declares March 6, 2025, a Statutory Public Holiday.

The Ministry of Interior has officially designated Thursday, March 6, 2025, as a Statutory Public Holiday to commemorate Ghana's Independence Day.

This announcement was conveyed through a press release dated February 28, 2025, affirming that the day will be observed nationwide in recognition of the historic occasion.

"The general public is hereby informed that Thursday, 6th March, 2025, which marks Independence Day, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country," the statement declared. 

The release was signed by the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak (MP), confirming the government's commitment to honoring Ghana's independence.

The holiday serves as an opportunity for citizens to reflect on the nation's journey and achievements since attaining independence.
