Koku Anyidoho Sues Captain Smart and Media General for Defamation, Seeks GHC 5 Million in Damages.

Samuel Koku Anyidoho, the CEO and Founder of the MILLS Mindset, Integrity, Loyalty, Leadership & Service Institute, has taken legal action against journalist Captain Smart and Media General.




The former Director of Communication at the Presidency alleges that defamatory remarks were made about him on Captain Smart’s television program in February 2025. According to the lawsuit, these statements were later republished by Ghanaweb, further amplifying their impact.

Claims in the Lawsuit

Anyidoho contends that the comments have caused significant harm to his reputation, affecting his professional standing and personal life. He also cited the negative effect on his mental well-being and standing within religious circles, where he is held in high regard.

As part of the lawsuit filed at the High Court, he is seeking:

•GHC 5 million in damages, including aggravated and exemplary compensation for reputational harm.

•A public retraction and apology from Captain Smart and Media General.

•The removal of the defamatory content from all platforms.
