Ghana Education Service (GES) Warning: Beware of Fake Recruitment Appointment Letters

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a formal warning to the public regarding the circulation of counterfeit appointment letters.

It is imperative to recognize the distinct characteristics of these fraudulent documents to avoid falling prey to scams.

The following are indicative of fake appointment letters:

Unrealistic Offers: Exercise caution when encountering job offers that seem excessively enticing or promise an unusually expedited recruitment process.

Poor Formatting and Errors: Fake letters often contain grammatical errors, typographical mistakes, or incorrect official details.

Unofficial Contact Information: Be wary of letters requesting contact with private phone numbers or email addresses not affiliated with GES.

Upfront Payment Requests: GES does not require applicants to make payments for recruitment purposes; thus, any request for payment is a clear indication of fraudulent activity.

To ensure your safety:

Refrain from Making Payments: Never provide payment to individuals claiming to facilitate GES job offers.

Verify Documents: Always cross-check any offer or document through official GES channels before taking action.

Report Suspicious Activity: If you suspect fraudulent activity, report it immediately to GES or the authorities.

For verification purposes, rely solely on official GES communication channels, such as their website or authorized social media platforms.

Vigilance is crucial in combating fraud and ensuring a secure and transparent recruitment process.
