NSA Terminates Volunteer Appointments as Part of Restructuring Efforts
The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the termination of all volunteer appointments across its offices as part of a broader restructuring initiative.
This directive, which takes effect from February 28, 2025, was outlined in an official statement released on Tuesday, February 25, and signed by Felix Gyamfi, the Director-General of the NSA.
According to the statement, exceptions will be made for districts with only one staff member, where a single volunteer will be retained to provide assistance. Additionally, in districts with vacant leadership positions, one assistant, a cleaner, catering personnel, and farm staff will be maintained to ensure the continuity of essential operations.
The NSA expressed gratitude to the affected volunteers for their dedication, hard work, and commitment during their period of service.
Furthermore, the communiqué instructed Heads of Departments (HODs), Unit Heads, and Regional Directors to retrieve all NSA property—including laptops, documents, and motorbikes—from outgoing volunteers before the termination deadline.
